At Bristol Pod Works, it is essential to us that all voices are welcome at the table, but there are some messages that our organization refuses to amplify. Please read below for a detailed explanation of our Content Policy.

Hate Speech and Discrimination

Bristol Pod Works is committed to maintaining a network of creators that feel comfortable sharing their unique voices and perspectives. The use of hate speech and discrimination by any podcast we produce infringes upon the trust and relationship of our clients and their audiences.


Bristol Pod Works retains the right to refuse publication of content and/or void working relationships with clients who use their platform to discriminate against any protected class of people. This may include a termination of working relationship with Bristol Pod Works and revocation of content hosting privileges. Breach of this policy is solely determined by the organization.


Bristol Pod Works defers to the list of Protected Classes as designated by the EEOC with a specific focus on marginalized communities. This includes but is not limited to individuals and groups who exist within one of more of the following communities (in no particular order):

  • LBGTQIA+
  • People of Color
  • Women
  • People with disabilities 
  • Immigrants


As with all of our content policies, this policy extends to  thoughts and actions by creators and hosts both recorded as content to be produced by Bristol Pod Works and shared within the public sphere outside of any podcast.

Harassment

Bristol pod works is committed to producing content that is free from unlawful harassment of any individual person. The use of any platform to overtly or subvertly harass a individual for any reason will result in a termination of working relationship with  Bristol Pod Works and a revocation of hosting privileges. 


For purposes of this policy, prohibited harassment includes verbal, visual, or written content that seeks to harm or incite attacks against an individual person for any reason. For information about harassment of a group, please refer to the Hate Speech and Discrimination policy above.


As with all of our content policies, this policy extends to  thoughts and actions by creators and hosts both recorded as content to be produced by Bristol Pod Works and shared within the public sphere outside of any podcast.

Misinformation

Bristol Pod Works is committed to producing content to entertain or inform the audiences of their clients. When the intent of a piece of content is to inform whether in an educational or comedic fashion, the content creator in question must not use their platform to spread false information for the purposes of misinforming their audience. 


Bristol Pod Works will defer to policy makers, scientists, medical professionals, historians, and other experts in determining what information is false. If a piece of content is deemed to have breached this policy, the offending party may appeal to the organization with evidence of their statement's veracity. Please note, however, that Bristol Pod Works will make the final determination of what content they will produce.  Willful and continued breach of this policy may result in a termination of relationship with Bristol Pod Works and revocation of hosting privileges.


As with all of our content policies, this policy extends to  thoughts and actions by creators and hosts both recorded as content to be produced by Bristol Pod Works and shared within the public sphere outside of any podcast.

Podcast Business Relationships

Bristol Pod Works supports the autonomy of all clients as it relates to business relationships formed for the funding or promotion of their content. However, our organization will not produce content that promotes or contains support from any organization that willfully and maliciously works against the values of Bristol Pod Works as stated in the policies above.  Determinations of breach of this policy will be decided on a case by case basis and may result in a termination of relationship with Bristol Pod Works and revocation of hosting privileges.


If a creators desires, they may appeal to the organization with evidence of their business partners values. Please note, however, that Bristol Pod Works will make the final determination of what content they will produce. 


As with all of our content policies, this policy extends to  thoughts and actions by creators and hosts both recorded as content to be produced by Bristol Pod Works and shared within the public sphere outside of any podcast.

Hosting Revocation Information

If any client of Bristol Pod Works is found in breach of one or more of the above polices resulting in a revocation of hosting privileges, the offending party will have 15 days to find a new host for their content. The party will be solely responsible for locating a host, affording the new fees, and managing the transition of their podcast fee.


The party whose hosting was revoked will receive a prorated refund for their hosting fees.  The prorate will factor in the start date of the working relationship with Bristol Pod Works to the date the decision to terminate the relationship was reached.
